I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that this would be a really cool mod that would satisfy a demand that is currently left unsatisfied. So then you have a "weird" map where there is plenty going on in the East, a bit going on in the West, a bit right in the middle of the country, but nothing anywhere else. But most other states would be difficult to justify. would be obvious inclusions I think, also Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, probably Kansas City. Of course, one difficulty that might occur is that a lot of the US hasn't had enough of a popular mafia presence to make all states "worthy" of being included. Maybe even have to deal with a supply chain of goods from coast to coast. I also think it would be more immersive from an historical standpoint to experience the wave of East coast gangsters moving westward. Since acquisition of land and titles (or maybe in this case, maybe even acquisition of more mob-specific assets like unions, storefronts, political institutes, etc.) is an essential mechanic in ck2 and ck2 mods, the more expansive, the better. Intrigue (and lots of it!), diplomacy, lineage, hierarchy, etc.Ĭould be strictly historical, a mix of historic and pop culture mafia (e.g., Gambino, Luchessi, along with Corleone and Soprano) or entirely ahistorical.ĭynasties would be families or crews.
Seems to me that CK2 already has a lot of native features that synchronize well with mafia themes and culture. I'm not a capable modder, but maybe some people who are and also like this idea could test its feasibility.
